What the job is

StartHub Wageningen is the entrepreneurship centre at Wageningen University. It takes student and researcher-founded ventures from an idea to their first customers. I advised founders on the sustainability side of that, which in practice meant turning a standard nobody had read into advice somebody could act on this week.

Highlights

  • Built a sustainability assessment tool for early-stage startups, aligned to DIN SPEC 90051-1.
  • Advised more than ten founders on sustainable design and material selection.
  • Cut material waste by 20% by moving clients onto PLA alternatives.
  • Earlier, as Student Assistant from November 2023 to August 2024: startup prototyping, CNC machining and 3D printing.
